In the framework of the Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC), a successful expert workshop was held between the EU and the U.S. on raw material flows and data on 12 and 13 September 2012 in Brussels. The workshop discussed how the European Union and the United States will explore steps to create a joint raw materials data inventory and other means to share raw materials data in the context of current policies on both sides to enable reliable and diverse raw materials supplies.

Please find the presentations held on the EU-U.S. Expert Workshop on Raw Material Flows & Data on the Webpage http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/policies/raw-materials/documents/index_en.htm

Our colleague Georg Mehlhart gave the presentation “Better tracking of materials in waste – European Environmental law and raw material policies”. You can find the presentation here as well.
